Thankfulness day 22

Today I am thankful for my friends and family. Even though I am not near my family in miles, they were in my heart today. We should be thankful everyday for our friends, family, faith, and everything else. Thank you to my friends for being my family away from my family.

Thankfulness day 18

Today I am thankful for my friends at work who make the day go by with laughter. It is a great feeling to know that you have friends who have your back and will make sure that if you didn't or aren't having a good day that it will be turned around. Thank you my friends!'nn

Changes

I've been thinking a lot about changes. Might have something to do with the fact that 3, yes I said 3, of my friends are moving away this summer. Marylisa, Heather, and Renee are moving forward with their lives. Marylisa is doing an awesome thing for her kids and moving to HOUSTON, TX (can you say road trip). Heather is moving to Indiana with her husband for his job. Renee is moving to Florida (can you say road trip to the beach) to be closer to family. All 3 of these women have embraced the upcoming change with all of their heart. They know that no matter what they are doing the right thing and that it is God's will.
I asked my friends for some of their favorite quotes on change and found a few of my own. Please enjoy these quotes.

Change keeps life interesting – Crystal Wilson

You cannot have improvement unless you have change – Dana Hamiliton

Change isn’t always a bad thing – Cristy Russell

I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it. Maya Angelou

Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning. Benjamin Franklin

For everything you have missed, you have gained something else, and for everything you gain, you lose something else. Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it. Mary Engelbreit

Change is all about trusting and who should you completely trust in??? God!!
Proverbs 3: 5- 6 (the message) states: Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.

Friendship

Friendship - what does it mean to you? To me it means someone that I can talk to, someone with whom I can share anything with and know that it will go no where. It is someone who will listen, give advice, and always be there for me. To me a friend is more like a family member. It is NOT someone who will drop friends because of who they are dating or who they have married. I have a tendency to over analyze actions and words done or said to me by my friends. Recently I have had friends who have backed slowly out of my life - it hurts - to me it is like losing a loved one. In fact I feel like I have lost a loved one. The sad thing is I don't think that either one of these friends realize what they have done or how they have made me feel. All I can say is that we need to cherish our friends - we've chosen them for a reason - go out there and let your friends know that you love them and that you are there for them. Show them why you are their friends. My friends are beautiful people on the inside and the outside. I hope that you realize how special you are to me and that no matter what I will be there for you. A friend recently posted that when one door closes another door opens - I believe that - for those friends who have closed that door I believe that there is an even better friend out there waiting for the door to be opened.
